Isaiah 40:31 "Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint"
God wants us to put our hope in Him so our strength can be renewed. He promises us that our strength will be renewed, BUT, we must put our hope in Him. When we are tired and weary it is easy to be discouraged, to not feel like breathing, not to set any goals for the future and not to even care about the things happening around us at times. Sometimes not even to take one step further. BUT ... then we can become thankful because of God's love for us, because He has given each one of us a measure of faith, He cares so much for us that He has given us a promise, a promise He Himself will never break, "Those that put their HOPE in ME!" This is a promise of GREAT STRENGTH! We will soar like eagles.
Eagles are magnificent
Eagles are magnificent creatures, they are the most powerful birds in the world. They are graceful but powerful. They are creatures of freedom. They are known for their GREAT STRENGTH, power, their boldness, dependability, courage and faithfulness. WOW, what a promise. They can ride the most difficult currents of wind, NOTHING gets them under.
I don't think any of us have ever seen an eagle that flaps its wings flap, flap, in the air when it flies. No way, IT SOARS! That is what God wants us to be like. He has given us that authority so why not take that with both hands and lets SOAR. Lets stop flapping lets start soaring! Wow this excites me.
Just like it is important for us to try and make the Fruits of the Spirit part of our lives, to love, have joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness & self-control (Gal 5:22-23) it is also important for us to always try and "DO THE RIGHT THING", no matter what, just always do the right thing! It is important for us to :
Eagles learn from young to fight and survive as their mothers constantly push them to do better, sometimes pushing them out of the nest, but the mother always flies down with the young eagle and carries him to safety. That I believe is what God wants for us at times. He will push us and push us to do the right thing for our lives but He will always carry us to safety. We cant gain anything without pain! Get up and try again.
Although life can be a struggle at times we can have courage just like the eagle and reach the highest peaks and soar. The higher we climb the better our view will be. We don't want our struggles and difficulties to have power over us. We must be like the eagle, don't give up, persevere and soar above our struggles and make sure we have the control.
Be expectant
We need to learn to always be expectant. It is time to soar, not flap, time to soar with the eagles!
We must be expectant and know that God will come through for us. Even when life beats you down, stay expectant and put your hope in God. Don't try and do things yourself, no stay expectant and know that God will be there. He has promised us. The promise from God to us is that we will no longer be weary but He will strengthen us, He will make sure that when we put our hope in Him He will not let us down, He will give us wings to fly like eagles, to soar against strong winds. Wow, thank you Father God for your promise to us.
Prayer:
Father God, thank you for Your promise that we no longer have to be tired and weary that You will give us strength when we put our hope in You. Thank you that You just absolutely love us so much. Thank you that You are my Rock in times of need, thank you that You will give us wings to fly like eagles, High above the winds that want to blow us down. Father help us to always do the right thing! Help us to be Your helping hand to this sad world, a world that needs You so very much. All for Your glory God!
