We must be the proof of HIS love .....
What does God have in mind for our lives? I wonder about that often and I know when I make my life less about me and more about somebody else, giving to the needy and extending a loving hand then I just feel more enriched in my life.
So I have been pondering the thought that God wants us to love. After all God Himself is LOVE. His word says in 1 Corinthians 13 - that :"If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing. Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude".
So therefore I am REALLY thinking how God wants me to love. We are all redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ and so we have the Holy Spirit living in our hearts and He is that small voice we can listen to. Everyday God wants us to love, yes, even our enemies. Jesus was the perfect example how to love our enemies as He immediately forgave His enemies that sold Him out. Jesus wants us to accept each other and have GRACE for one another, be patient with each other and encourage each other. We have to LOVE.
So I have been "drinking" the song by ForKingandCountry "The Proof of YOUR love" and it speaks volumes about God wanting us to love and I hope when you read the words and listen to the song that you will be deeply blessed.
The proof of
YOUR love ...
The
Monologue Mix – For King & Country
If I sing but don't have love
I waste my breath with every song
I bring an empty voice, a hollow noise.
If I speak with a silver tongue
convince a crowd but don't have love
I leave a bitter taste with every word I say.
So let my life be the proof
the proof of your love.
Let my love look like you
and what you're made of.
How you lived, how you died.
I waste my breath with every song
I bring an empty voice, a hollow noise.
If I speak with a silver tongue
convince a crowd but don't have love
I leave a bitter taste with every word I say.
So let my life be the proof
the proof of your love.
Let my love look like you
and what you're made of.
How you lived, how you died.
Love is sacrifice.
So let my life be the proof,
the proof of your love.
If I give to a needy soul
but don't have love
then who is poor?
It seems all the poverty
is found in me.
So let my life be the proof,
the proof of your love.
If I give to a needy soul
but don't have love
then who is poor?
It seems all the poverty
is found in me.
So let my life be the proof
the proof of your love.
Let my love look like you
and what you're made of.
How you lived, how you died.
Love is sacrifice.
So let my life be the proof,
the proof of your love.
When it's all said and done,
When we sing our final song,
Only love remains.
Only love remains.
[Monologue]
the proof of your love.
Let my love look like you
and what you're made of.
How you lived, how you died.
Love is sacrifice.
So let my life be the proof,
the proof of your love.
When it's all said and done,
When we sing our final song,
Only love remains.
Only love remains.
[Monologue]
If I speak with human eloquence and angelic ecstasy but don't love I'm
nothing but the creaking of a rusty gate. If I speak God's word with power,
revealing all of His mysteries and making everything as plain as day, and if I
have faith to say to a mountain jump and it jumps but I don't love I'm nothing.
If I give all I earn to the poor or even go to the stake to be burned as a
martyr, but I don't love I've gotten nowhere. So, no matter what I say, no
matter what I believe, no matter what I do, I'm bankrupt without love.
So let my life be the proof
the proof of your love.
Let my love look like you
and what you're made of.
How you lived, how you died.
Love is sacrifice.
So let my life be the proof,
the proof of your love
