Break my heart for what breaks Yours ....

Lord, break my heart for what breaks Yours ...

I absolutely love the song by +Hillsong called Hosanna and when I listen to the part where they sing ... "Break my heart for what breaks Yours", I hear my heart saying :"what breaks our Fathers' heart?". When I listen to them singing : "Heal my heart and make it clean, open my eyes to the things unseen, show me how to love like You loved me, break my heart for what breaks Yours, everything I am for Your Kingdom's cause ... "  Wow, what a powerful song. I don't think a person can worship God and not feel that you want to make yourself a better person, that you want to become the Ambassador for Christ and help people, love them and have grace for others and change yourself so that you can make a difference in the world.

What would break our Fathers' heart?  What breaks our hearts? When families don't get along and they don't love each other and others with the love of God, when people mistreat the poor, when people suffer (poverty - this breaks my heart), when a loved one dies, when children suffer, when we are disobedient to God, hurtful words, when people turn their backs on God  .... so many things, the list is endless, and yet God loves us so very very much.

God hears our hearts, He hears the songs we sing to Him, He hears our prayers, He hears what breaks our hearts, because it breaks His too!

We know from Genesis that after each day God looked at His work and said that it was good - "And God saw that it was good".  That teaches me a principal that after each day we live on earth, we have to reflect on our day and  'evaluate' if in fact we have done good according to the will of God and if not, make some changes.  If at some point we did not feel like helping someone where we could or we said hurtful things to someone where we could have turned a situation around, we have to 'evaluate' and make changes and live a life we know we can be happy with and God's heart can smile down at us.  I am never saying we must become perfect, no, we will always be human -  I am just saying let us become better individuals, let us live in the will of our Father.  Lets live out His traits and it will make us happier individuals - love, peace, patience, joy, kindness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control, forgiveness, humility, courage, fairness, honesty  & truthfulness, responsibility, generosity, compassion, commitment, determination, grace ...... I can carry on and on as the attributes of God are just so constant, everlasting and endless. How amazing you are Father God!

I pray that God will touch each person's heart to make this world a better place. We all have struggles and pain in our lives and we must love people with the love of Jesus and have grace for them with the grace Jesus has for us.  May God touch our hearts to reach each person He wants us to reach, to be His hands and feet.  Let us make sure we don't hurt our Fathers' heart but we make Him smile down on us.

I ask each person today, what can you do right now to make this world a better place? Remember you are never too young or too old to make a difference.. no time like the present.
